Saving Seeds of Native Plants

Highland Lakes Birding and Wildlife Society invites the public to Colleen Dieter’s presentation of “Saving Seeds of Native Plants.” Colleen founded Central Texas Seed Savers, whose goal is to prevent the extinction of culturally, ecologically, and culinarily important plants. There are now 31 libraries in Central Texas with seed catalogs which patrons can borrow and share native and vegetable seeds. Come to learn how and when to harvest, dry, store, and share seeds.
